SPE certified is a rare and unique organization to be exposed to as a dietetic intern. With this exposure, it opens the consideration of the career path in a non-tradition RD job position. I worked closely with culinary nutritionists whom are RDNs. My daily assignments were based on their clients. Since SPE certified is a for-profit certification and nutrition consulting company, I was not able to meet all my basic community rotation competencies directly. However, Andrea Canada and Kristy Del Coro had provided me projects and assignments to meet the needs of my competencies such as the recipe testing/modification project. In addition, Andrea gave me assignment based on my goals. One of my goals was to work with the marketing department of the company in respect to nutrition. I collaborated with the marketing team and worked on a project called recipe instagram videos.
